Abstract
In this work a clinical hypothesis regarding Gregory House’s affliction will be examined, using the last two chapters of the fourth season. Making use of the circuit of responsibility, we will be able analyze how the protagonist establishes his relationship with Others, his point of enjoyment and the answers he offers in relation to his desire. These two chapters will also allow us to clearly observe the concepts of responsibility, necessity, chance and figures of guilt. The filtered result will place us in a position to see the subjective position which sustains Gregory House in this part of the series – a common denominator found in many other passages – and which we identify as the cause of his affliction. We recommend seeing the chapters we make reference to.
Key words: Dr. House | Responsibility | Necessity | Chance.
