Abstract
As part of the academic activities undertaken by Monique David-Ménard during her visit to Buenos Aires in October 2015, the view and discussion of a film took place. It’s the Greek film Strella, suggested by David-Ménard herself and the Argentinian psychoanalyst currently residing in Paris, Horacio Amigorena. For editorial reasons, this article includes the first part of the discussion, reserving its continuation for the March 2016 Issue. After an introduction of the film plot, we go over different issues that the story raises, such as: incest, transsexualism, paternal function, farce, fiction, new sexualities and family configurations. The story is narrated in the style of a modern Greek tragedy around a crucial question: is it possible to rebuild the bond between a father and a son based on an ominous story?
