Abstract

This essay deals with a scene of the television series The Big C and confronts the subject of the right to die with dignity. This topic has had great relevance worldwide, particularly in our country due to the discussion regarding the approval of the “death with dignity law”. The essay deals with the concept of human dignity, ethics and the contribution of psychoanalysis, also touching on some cases prior to the passing of the above mentioned law.
