Abstract
"Icarus and the Minotaur", an animated film directed by Carlo Vogele and released in 2022, tells the story of young Icarus, son of the inventor Daedalus, on the island of Crete. In his explorations, Icarus discovers Asterion, a bull-headed boy, imprisoned by order of King Minos. The secret friendship between Icarus and Asterion, and the latter’s tragic fate in the labyrinth, offers a narrative rich in symbolism and complexity. This article explores it from an ethical perspective and a psychoanalytic perspective.
