Abstract:
This work, based on the figure of influencers, seeks to explore the phenomenon of influencers in our time. To do so, it uses a series called "Bad Influences: The Dark Side of Social Media in Childhood." Influencers emerge as lifestyle icons for many of their followers. Influence and the market are intertwined. Now, what happens when it comes to children, generally governed by their parents, who do this work? How is it that mothers and fathers become, not protectors, but possessors of these images of everyday life and sell them as a product? At the same time, this work aims to explore the subjective aspects this phenomenon can have. The Kings of the House, a novel by Delphine De Vigan, will provide this insight, highlighting the value of use and defense that the identity they construct can have in their lives, no matter how indescribable it may be, in the virtual community. Finally, the work emphasizes the approach psychoanalysis offers to address these phenomena. It does not aim to dominate, correct, or evaluate, but rather seeks to create a unique word to address the enjoyment that accompanies images, finding or producing the text to which they are attached.
