Abstract
This article is based on the consideration that the television series are a new narrative form that captures, in a privileged way, the structure of some contemporary societies, to perform a reading of what is considered a center of gravity in the TV serie Masters of sex (2013). The reading keys chosen are the operation done by scientism to address sexuality as an object of study and the dialectical movement that occurred in the discourses about sexuality, from the prohibition of the Victorian age to the liberation of the sexual revolution and from there to the satisfaction imperative of XXI century.
Keywords: tv series | scientism | sex | sexuality | victorian age | sexual revolution | imperative | satisfaction
